We’re looking at how offshore wind and marine users can safely share the waters off the coast of Gippsland.
Blue Mackerel is still in the early stages. While there’s no construction happening yet, we’re carrying out studies to better understand the marine environment and how people use the area – for fishing, boating, and recreation.
What’s happening now
Right now, we’re focused on early studies and site investigations to understand the local environment. These include marine surveys that help build a picture of fish habitats and seabed conditions. We’ll continue to share what we learn and keep you informed about any upcoming offshore work.
