Suppliers

We’re working with local and global suppliers to help deliver one of Australia’s first offshore wind projects.

Blue Mackerel is committed to growing a strong local supply chain. That means creating opportunities for Gippsland-based, Victorian and Australian businesses across various stages of the project, including: development, construction, operations and maintenance, and eventually decommissioning.

Offshore wind supplier opportunities

Offshore wind calls on skills and services across civil construction, marine operations, logistics, fabrication, site services, electrical and mechanical works, and long-term operations and maintenance.

Our open and upcoming work packages are available on our ICN Gateway. We’ll share information about registered businesses with contractors bidding for major packages. That means more chances for Gippsland and Victorian companies to be part of the project.

Looking to local jobs first

Blue Mackerel’s supplier engagement is guided by the Victorian Government’s Local Jobs First and Social Procurement Frameworks.

This means we’re embedding social, economic and environmental value into our procurement decisions. Blue Mackerel will:

  • Prioritise the use of Gippsland and Victorian businesses across its supply chain to maximise local content and economic benefits to the community.
  • Create meaningful employment opportunities for local workers, Priority Job Seekers, First Nations & Traditional Owners and Apprentices, Trainees and Cadets.
  • Actively partner with industry associations, education institutions, Traditional Owners groups and Victorian Aboriginal businesses through respectful, co-designed engagement.
  • Embed social and sustainable value through our procurements to deliver on Local Jobs First and Social Procurement Framework requirements.
